La Mironera at Intercaza – Tourism, Active Leisure and Environment

La Mironera: nature, ecotourism, and environmental education in the heart of Córdoba's Sierra Morena.

This past weekend, from June 6th to 8th, La Mironera took part in Intercaza 2025, the tourism, outdoor leisure, and environment fair held at the Córdoba Exhibition, Trade and Convention Centre.

Our stand, inspired by a Mediterranean forest, offered visitors an immersive experience into the biodiversity of Sierra Morena. Through this recreation, we aimed to convey the beauty and value of our nearby natural environment.

Discover Córdoba through mindful ecotourism experiences

During these days, we had the opportunity to share our activities with visitors—experiences designed to enjoy nature in a respectful, mindful way and in small groups.

Those who visited our stand discovered a wide range of diverse experiences, all united by the same purpose: respect and admiration for nature.

Among other activities, we offer interpretive walks, photography workshops, starlight experiences, gastronomic events, and flora workshops.

The bonsai display at our stand

One of the elements that drew the most attention at our stand was the bonsai exhibition, which not only added an aesthetic touch to the space but also sparked public interest in the art of cultivating miniature trees.

Throughout the fair, we shared knowledge about bonsai care and the principles behind this art form, explaining how to keep these trees healthy while respecting their natural development.

Visitors also had the chance to purchase one of our specimens and take it home.

We brought native species from Sierra Morena, such as  Madroño and Acebuche , as a representation of our local biodiversity, along with other species like pine and carob.

A memorable experience

Intercaza 2025 – Tourism, Active Leisure and Environment was a valuable opportunity to continue building networks and synergies with other organizations in the sector, while sharing our conservation and outreach work.

At La Mironera, we would like to thank everyone who visited our stand and shared their interest with us. After this experience, we return with renewed energy to continue our mission: bringing people closer to nature, protecting and valuing biodiversity, and promoting a more respectful and mindful approach to tourism.
